What is the body?

“For what is the body? The body is merely the visibility of the soul, the psyche; and the soul is the psychological experience of the body.” (C.G. Jung, Nietzche’s Zarathurstra: Notes of the Seminar Given in 1934-1939, Vol. 1, p. 355)

“Soul and body are not two things. They are one.” (C.G. Jung, Nietzche’s Zarathurstra: Notes of the Seminar Given in 1934-1939, Vol. 1, p. 355)

“The body is the past, our earth, the world of heretofore, but out of it rises a new light which is not identical with the body.” (C.G. Jung, Nietzche’s Zarathurstra: Notes of the Seminar Given in 1934-1939, Vol. 1, p. 374)

Spirit
by Yahia Lababidi

Bodies are like poems,
a fraction of their power
resides in their skin
The rest belongs to the spirit
that swims through them.
