Spark of meaning….

“In Ireland’s New Grange, the winter solstice sun penetrates a long passageway to an inner room of intricate spirals and sun disks carved into cave walls to “capture” the new light, as one might grasp a flicker of hope or a spark of meaning, which changes everything.”    (ARAS The Book of Symbols, p. 92)

The sun enters through the small opening above the door at sunrise on winter solstice lighting the passage tomb; this also occurs a 2-3 days before and after the winter solstice.
